Pocket Laser Light Show

It's not often we get the chance to ape our hero, John Travolta of Saturday Night Fever here at gadgetshop HQ. But just now and again, after the shutters have been lowered and the reactor powered-down, we pour ourselves an Appeltiser or three and transform the lab into a hep joint full of flare-clad Now People strutting all manner of stuff, funky and otherwise. It's at times like these, when, as well as taking a pre-emptive dose of Alka Seltzer, we like to illuminate the Pocket Laser Light Show we keep on standby for special party occasions. And boy does it perform.

It's the Spiragraph-inspired laser toy one would normally expect at upper-crust parties and expensive London discotheques, only on a smaller scale for domestic gatherings and happenings with pocket-sized people. Battery powered for optimal portability, the Laser Light Show generates a huge array of spinning spiral patterns almost anywhere, although it works most magnificently when displayed on interior walls and ceilings. Just pop it down, select Auto for a pre-programmed lighting spectacular, or customise your own settings for a simply wonderful laser-powered Son et Lumiere to the groovy Hit Parade sounds of Kajagoogoo. Repeat after me: "You-re too shy, shy..." Marvellous.
