Acer Aspire One Laptop Offers Mobile Internet Solution in India

Acer India has announced the launch of its latest laptop, dubbed Aspire One, in the country. It not only works as a notebook but also boasts to deliver continuous access to the internet.

The all-new digital device makes sure that users experience online activities in a fast, simple and utterly cool way. The laptop also offers a full and easy-to-use software application suite, an integrated 802.11b/g Wi-Fi for easy access to available wireless networks, WiMAX or 3G wireless technology to deliver even greater wireless freedom, and a battery life of up to 6 hours.

Measuring just 24 x 17 cm and weighing less than one kilo, the laptop comes equipped with Acer Signal Up technology that provides maximum quality and stability to the wireless signal. The other features include an 8.9-inch CrystalBrite LED backlit display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels and in-built Acer CrystalEye webcam for live video streaming, video chats and conferences.

Furthermore, the Aspire One is powered by Intel Atom processor and runs on Linpus Linux Lite or Windows XP Home. It bundles 512 MB or 1 GB of RAM, and support for a NAND flash module of 8GB or an 80GB internal HDD. It is compatible with 5 different types of memory card that include Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO and xD-Picture Card.

By using the Smart File Manager, users can immediately merge extra storage from any SD card inserted in the second SD card slot into the memory available without any flaws. Through the one Mail software suite, they have the freedom to manage up to six of your email accounts with a single application interface.

An intuitive Linux interface allows consumers to check their mail, manage online bank accounts and even chat with friends and family. It is separated by functions and now comes in four distinct areas on the screen i.e. Connect, Works, Fun and Files, making it easy for them to access each file or folder.

Owners can also utilize Skype, Microsoft Messenger and various other instant messaging services. The Aspire One rests in four different colors such as sapphire blue, seashell white, golden brown and coral pink.

Besides, the Acer Aspire One laptop also comes pre-installed with other softwares such as OpenOffice 2.3, one Mail, Messenger, Acer eRecovery Management, Acer Launch Manager, Adobe Reader, McAfee Internet Security Suite and Microsoft Office Trial 2007.
