Here is a great scheme for Indian consumers who are planning to purchase a LCD or a Plasma Television. Samsung has announced a consumer offer that explains that customers who buy a Flat Panel TVs series are entitled for an assured gift of a Home Theatre or DVD player.
On the purchase of any Samsung Series 6 LCD TV that comes in a screen size ranging 32″/40″/46″/52″ screen size, customer will get a Samsung Home Theatre (HT-TX22) as a free gift. Marked as the first appearance of Crystal design in the 2008 LCD full HDTV line-up, the Samsung Series 6 LCD TVs feature the Ultra Clear Panel and 100Hz Motion Plus technology that deliver the sharpest, smoothest pictures even in a moving image at top speeds. It also sports a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1 and is priced in the range between Rs 74,000 to Rs 300,000.
Consumers can also get a Samsung DVD player (Pebble) with no extra cost, provided they purchase Series 5 LCD TVs that are sized at 46″/40″/37″/32″. The Samsung Pebble, which is only slightly larger than a DVD disc, has the ability to convert standard 480p discs to 720 p, 1080i or 1080p. It also comes equipped with a wide multimedia file playback capacity such as DivX, MP3, WMA, MPEG4 and more.
After paying for a Series 4 LCD TV from Samsung in 40″/37″/32″ screen size, consumers will get a Samsung DVD Player (P480) free. Similarly, on buying a Series 3 LCD TV in 32″/40″, they will get a free DVD Player P182. The price of the Series 4 LCD TVs ranges between Rs 49,000 to Rs 85,000, whereas the Series 3 LCD TVs cost start from Rs 44,000 to Rs 77,000.

The value addition offered in the form of a free Home Theatre /DVD player with a Samsung LCD TV during the promotion, I am confident will encourage more and more consumers to go in for the purchase of Samsung LCD TVs.”
There are few additional features in the 2008 DVD line up that includes P480 and P182 models. These products are part of the promotional offer, which are being given as gifts. New features are Best Playability, FM Tuner, Power Resume Function, USB 2.0 connection, CD ripping and 14 bit Video DAC for lifelike pictures as well as an enhanced D2RS Technology to play any DVD.
Samsung’s consumer offer also exceeds to Plasma TVs, wherein consumers are entitled to acquire a Home Theater (HT-X20) on every purchase of 50″ Plasma TV from Series 5 or 50″/42″ Plasma TV from Series 4. While attaining a 42″ Plasma TV (Model No. PS 42A410) from Series 4, consumers will walk out with a Samsung DVD Player (P182). The company’s Plasma TV range is priced in the range between Rs 69,000/- to Rs 140,000.
