New Kensington Dual USB Adapter offers core functionality to USB display technology by DisplayLink

Kensington has come up with Dual Monitor Adapter that would provide core functionality to DisplayLink’s USB display technology for Windows XP/Vista and Mac OS X platforms, thus providing USB connection with ease for the users.

“With DisplayLink’s unique hardware and software, a second display is just a single USB connection away,” said Frederic Frappereau, Global Product Marketing Manager at Kensington. “For $119.99, both Mac and PC users can enjoy easier multitasking, increased productivity and a more pleasing visual environment without having to install complex video cards.”

“A USB graphics adapter (UGA) is the most affordable way to experience the plug and display simplicity of DisplayLink technology,” said Dennis Crespo, DisplayLink executive vice president of marketing and business development. “Once people try the instant usability benefits of using multiple displays, they get hooked.”

UGA enables the USB to connect simply to the external monitor which allows users to quickly connect to a PC or laptop. Powered by notebook PC it easily slips into a briefcase. It is not only compact but also comes at a price that suits your pocket.

The Kensington Dual Monitor Adapter enables you to connect up to six additional monitors to a single PC. It easily works with a DVI or VGA or widescreen monitor. It not only supports monitors up to 1440 x 900 pixels but also the standard 1280 x 1024 pixels in 32- bit color. It will be available soon for an expected retail price of $119.99 with a two year warranty. It also includes VGA adapter and USB cable.
