Next-generation Portable LCD Projectors launched by Panasonic

Panasonic has introduced the new LB80 series projectors for the generation-next. The only ‘gen-next’ thing about them is that they are ‘optimized for performance and maximum portability.’

The series include PT-LB80NTU, PT-LB80U, PT-LB75NTU, PT-LB75U, the ‘highly portable ones’ as they are designed for small to mid-sized meeting rooms and classrooms. They are made to deliver ‘long-lasting brightness and outstanding picture quality in a small, but full-featured system’. The compact projectors along with their wide-screen counterpart PT-LW80NTU are dust resistant to reduce maintenance cost.

The PT-LB80NTU, PT-LB75NTU and PT-LW80NTU feature built-in wireless capability to connect to multiple PCs sans any wire. The feature has been added keeping in mind the ‘professionals on-the-go who require reliability and high-quality presentation tools when working remotely’. They can connect to as much as 128 different computers at the same time and does not require a router or wide area network for the same.

For quality images with 1,024 x 768 resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio, the PT-LB80NTU and PT-LB75NTU projectors are the right ones. For a 16:10 aspect ratio (wide) LCD panels, the company has PT-LW80NTU that can reproduce WXGA images (1,280 x 800) from a computer.
And finally for widescreen images from a DVD video source or wide-aspect computers, the company claims PT-LW80NTU to be the ideal solution.

The PT-LB80NTU and PT-LB80U deliver 3,200 lumens of brightness each; the PT-LB75NTU and the PT-LB75U provide 2,600 lumens, which is 30% brighter than their best selling Panasonic predecessors. The new PT-LW80NTU will deliver both bright and smooth images with 2,600 lumens and as with the other LB80 series projectors, Panasonic bundles several advanced technologies to create the quintessential next-generation portable projector.

As far as the brightness is concerned; the PT-LB80NTU and PT-LB80U delivering 3,200 lumens of brightness each and PT-LB75NTU and the PT-LB75U delivering 2,600 lumens boast of being 30% brighter than their predecessors. PT-LW80NTU is made to deliver both bright and smooth images with 2,600 lumens.

The series is equipped with advanced technologies like Edge Enhancer Control which acts retroactively with Panasonic’s fourth-generation Daylight View 4 image-processing to make the projections visible even in the brightly lit rooms.

The projectors are available for:
PT-LW80NTU $ 3,499
PT-LB80NTU $ 3,299
PT-LB80U $ 2,999
PT-LB75NTU $ 2,299
