Sparkling 112 Diamond-Studded Nokia 8800 Phone Costs $6000

Diamond – a girls’ best friend - now gives a rich and elegant look to technological products. Mobile phones are most of the time lucky to receive the ‘luxurious’ tag. Nokia has now joined hands with Norwegian-jeweler Thomas Heyerdahl to launch the 8800 Diamond. This limited edition handset comes encrusted with 112 diamonds in its sleek body.

The Nokia 8800 Arte shines in real diamonds and becomes the first mobile phone from the Finnish company. The features of this mobile phone include 3G network, a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera, 1 GB onboard memory, digital music player, FM radio, improved video recording quality and 3D image engine for enhanced graphics.

Furthermore, Arte sports a fine-pitched screen protected by a scratch-resistant glass, an out-of-the-box silencing mechanism which can be activated when the phone is turned over, screen-side.

For consumers who are anticipating the launch, the Nokia 8800 Diamond Edition phone is expected to be available at Heyerdahl’s stores for an estimated cost for 30,000 NOK which converts to a huge sum of $6000 USD. (approx. Rs. 256,465).
