Amazon had announced the availability of the Kindle in November last year. Due to its popularity, it went out of stock within six months of its launch. Now, it has again hit the shelves with a price cut of 10 percent from the original cost.
Consumers, who are interested in purchasing the highly valuable and useful e-book reader, need to shell out $359 - $40 lesser than the actual cost ($400).
The silver book-style consumer electronic product includes over 120,000 books that are available for immediate purchase and download, and has the ability to read all major newspapers and 300 of the top blogs. You can download magazines, books and newspapers to the device. It can even hold up to 200 printed titles in its memory.
The online retailer has succeeded in increasing the volume of Kindles and simultaneously decreases the cost. The company has not officially commented on the sales figures of the Kindle, but according to Citigroup analyst Mark Mahaney, the Kindle has experienced sales between 10,000-30,000 figures up till now.
