Yesterday Plantronics introduced the Calisto Pro Series, a home phone with a multi-function Bluetooth headset. The new concept of landline with Bluetooth headset has transformed the conventional home phone into an advanced way of communication.
“As traditional and new voice technologies converge in the home office, home professionals can benefit from ‘bridge’ solutions that centralize and simplify communications,” said Merle Sandler, senior analyst, SMB and Home Office Programs, IDC. “The vast majority of households have landline and cell phones and VoIP adoption is growing, so a phone that can easily orchestrate all three will resonate with the growing home professional segment.”
The Calisto Pro’s utility is further enhanced with a built-in speakerphone, interference-free DECT 6.0 technology, and ability to download Outlook contact numbers.
The landline set is compact and small and can be installed anywhere.
One of the most important features of the Calisto Pro Series is the Bluetooth headset that can be connected with Bluetooth enabled mobile handsets too.
Other features of the advanced landline phone are:

- Ergonomic earpiece for custom fit and all-day comfort
- Up to 8 hours battery life/talk time
- One-stop charging base reduces desktop clutter
The device can be connected to the PC for internet calling too. And with the help of the Bluetooth headsets users can enjoy internet calls sitting at the distance from a computer.
Looking at the features it seems Plantronics is offering powerful communication options to US customers.
Plantronics Calisto Pro will be available in September at the price of $279.95 .
