HP Blackbird 002 Desktop PC Rolled Out Online

HP has announced the release of its latest desktop PC, dubbed Blackbird 002. The company has planned to make available the newest elegant desktop via selected retail online stores such as Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, Circuit City, J&R and Micro Center retail stores and online shops.

It comes with the ability to work efficiently in extreme computing challenges - be it either next-generation games or professional applications. It brags of cable-free hard drive installation and isolated thermal chambers along with tool-free accessibility.

Elaborating on the launch, Mike Perkins, vice president and general manager, Voodoo Business Unit, HP, commented, “While Blackbird has been well-received online, we know there is a large segment of consumers who crave a hands-on experience before making a purchase decision. We are introducing the HP Blackbird 002 to a new audience and anticipate a fantastic response to this one-of-a-kind fragging machine.”

Powered by Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q9450, the HP Blackbird 002 desktop PC has useful attributes for high-end performance that include Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium operating system, NVIDIA nForce SLI motherboard with RAID support, Dual SLI NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT graphics cards with support for Microsoft DirectX 10, 500 GB 7,200 rpm SATA hard drive, 4,096 MB Corsair Dominator system memory with DHX technology, 7.1 onboard HD audio and USB, FireWire as well as audio ports, plus 15-in-1 memory card reader.

Additionally, it also comes with five internal, hot-swappable hard drive bays and 900 watt power plant with quiet, liquid cooled CPU.

Backed by one-year warranty, the HP Blackbird 002 desktop PC carries a price tag of $3,299 (approx. 141,625) INR and will hit the shelves on 29th June 2008.
