MIO Leap K1 Handheld GPS Phone Introduced

Mio Technology, leading players in the mobile GPS industry, has launched its latest phone that doubles as a GPS device. Known as Leap K1, the gadget boasts its innovative ability of presenting dual sided viewing function. On one side, the device features GPS navigation and on the other it sports a phone functionality.

Some of the known specs of the Mio Leap K1 GPS phone include 64 MB RAM, 2 GB ROM, quad band GSM/GPRS, EDGE connectivity and a display of 320×240 pixel resolution

Powered by 400Mhz Samsung 2443 processor, it runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and is compatible with both GPS and A-GPS. Users can enjoy continuous 5 hours of talktime.

Coming back to the dual sided screen, the GPS sided screen offers a full screen display and the phone screen provides menus on the 3.5-inches display and keypads below the screen.

We are waiting for other clearer details about the Mio Leap K1 dual-sided GPS phone. The device is expected to be showcased at the 2008 Computex show in Taiwan.
