Rightway RW430, RW355 and RW250 GPS Systems Unveiled by Translant

Transplant, manufacturer of GPS devices, has announced three new personal navigation devices (PNDs), named RW430, RW355 and RW250. Tagged under RightWay brand of GPS products, all three GPS units employ trilingual street name ‘text-to-speech’ capabilities, Navteq map data for North America, SiRF Star III high sensitivity GPS chip set, Samsung processors, Windows CE 5.0 OS and four bonus programs.

RightWay RW430 and RW355 share quite a few features, including an MP3 player, movie player, E-book reader, photo viewer, 2 watt amplifiers and an external audio jack supporting most car stereo systems. Consumers will enjoy MP3 playback or audio navigation.

The RightWay RW430 sports 4.3-inch TFT LCD anti-glare display, preloaded maps of Canada and the United States (including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico), ability to speak out the name of the street, more than 1.7 million points of interest (POIs) stored in its memory, Navteq maps, clear driving graphics and instructions, and a straight forward user interface.

Furthermore, the widescreen translates into larger buttons and on-screen keypads, enabling owners to enter address and type predictive text. It bundles the RightLane Assistant to show the lane for turning, and the RightSpeed Assistant to monitor local speed limits and alert user-programmable speed monitoring.

Both the Rightway RW355 and RW250 come equipped with street name text-to-speech capabilities and a smaller 3.5-inch TFT/LCD screen. The RW250 shows off various attributes like an in-built memory, Windows operating system and maps of the continental United States.

All three Transplant’s Rightway GPS systems are scheduled to be out by the end of this year. The company is silent on the pricing of RW430, RW355 and RW250 PNDs.
