Fujitsu Loox R C70 and C50 laptops announced

Fujitsu Japan has added two new iterations to its Loox R laptop. Slated for a December 19th 2008 release, the two models are called Loox R/C70 and Loox R/C50. Bundled with Penryn ultra low voltage chip, the Fujitsu Loox R laptop was launched nearly a year ago.

Coming to the two models, both laptops are an interesting pack of highly-functional devices. The Loox R/C70 in particular boasts of a battery that should last nearly 12.6 hours. In addition the 1.27kg laptop sports a 1.2GHz Intel SU9300 ULV CPU, a 1,280 x 800, 12.1” screen, a 128GB SSD and 2GB of RAM.

The laptop comes with pre-installed for Vista Business and Office 2007. Other features include a gigabit Ethernet, WiFi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, three USB 2.0 ports, a PC card slot, SD slot, VGA output and Firewire

The second model namely the Loox R/C50 sports nearly similar attributes except for inclusion of a 320GB hard drive, Vista Home Premium and exclusion of Bluetooth. The battery life too is about 12.1 hours.

While the Loox R/C70 should cost around $3108(148,905.28 INR), the Loox R/C50 will retail for approximately $2,553(122,315.05 INR).
