Updated Models of Apple MacBooks Announced

Apple has announced to introduce revamped models of MacBooks.

The new MacBook and 15-inch MacBook Pro sport a precision unibody enclosure crafted from a single block of aluminum, making them thinner and more durable.

The updated MacBook range now include state-of-the-art NVIDIA graphics, brilliant instant-on LED-backlit displays and new large glass Multi-Touch trackpads to deliver nearly 40 percent more tracking area and support more Multi-Touch gestures.

Additionally, the entire new MacBook family also meets Energy Star 4.0, EPEAT Gold and RoHS environmental standards.

The common feature of the latest range of MacBook family are Intel Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics; sudden Motion Sensor; a slot-load 8X SuperDrive with double-layer support (DVD+/-RDL/DVD+/-RW/CD-RW) optical drive; Mini DisplayPort for video output; built-in AirPort Extreme 802.11n wireless networking and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR; Gigabit Ethernet port; an integrated iSight video camera; two USB 2.0 ports; one audio line in and one audio line out port and support for each both optical digital and analog.

The 2.5GHz 17-inch MacBook Pro sports 4 GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 320 GB Serial ATA hard drives running at 5400 rpm and ExpressCard/34 expansion card slot.

The slimmest notebook in the MacBook lineup, the MacBook Air comes equipped with 2 GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM, 13.3-inch glossy display, 128 GB solid state drive and a headphone port.

Next is the 15.4-inch aluminum MacBook Pro which now features 4 GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT discrete graphics with 512MB GDDR3 video memory, 320 GB serial ATA hard drive, one FireWire 800 port and a ExpressCard/34 expansion card slot.

Apple has also introduced a 2.4 GHz, 15-inch aluminum MacBook Pro that packs in 2 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM, expandable to 4 GB, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT discrete graphics with 256MB GDDR3 video memory and a 250 GB serial ATA hard drive.

The next model is the 13.3-inch aluminum MacBook that shares all the features as that of 2.4 GHz, 15-inch MacBook Pro. However, it lacks NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT discrete graphics with 256MB GDDR3 video memory.

Lastly, the distinct features of the 2.0 GHz, 13.3-inch aluminum MacBook include 160 GB serial ATA hard drive and 2GB 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM, expandable to 4 GB.
