Dell launches new Energy Smart Vostro 410 Desktop

Dell launches a new desktop that delivers industry leading performance and expandability for small businesses. Dell’s new Energy Smart Vostro 410 desktop is the latest addition in its series of energy-efficient products.

“Small businesses are increasingly concerned about rising energy costs,” said Frank Muehleman, vice president and general manager, Dell Small and Medium Business. “With the Energy Smart Vostro desktop, we’re able to save our customers money and collectively cut down on CO2 emissions, while delivering the features and functionality they require - especially high-performance processing power, graphics technology, fast networking and maximum expandability.”

The new Dell Vostro Desktop features outstanding desktop performance with IntelCore2 Quad processors, 512MB graphics cards and 800MHz system memory. The design is such that it enables the desktop to be compatible with the business needs. It provides space for four hard drives.

It has 6 expansion slots and 4 bays compared to the previous model. It holds up to six PCIe/PCI cards which increases the configuration flexibility. It is available with no trial ware and free services that include a 10GB Dell DataSafe Online Backup, Dell Network Assistant and Dell Automated PC TuneUp. The Vostro customers will also be enriched with the new services portfolio and ProSupport.

“The changes we’ve made to the Vostro 410 aren’t moderate improvements but an unrivaled combination of performance and expandability for a small-business PC,” said Muehleman. “For customers running complex spreadsheets or databases, multi-tasking frequently and heavily, or using video-intensive applications, you can’t beat the Vostro 410.”

Dell Vostro 410 starts at $599 and will save up to 47 percent for customers in annual energy costs. It will be available in North and South America and the United Kingdom very soon. It will hit markets in Asia by June 2 and the rest of Europe, the Middle East and Africa by June 5.
